I have tried going into the hardware device manager and re-installing the device. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. Talked to Gwa1464b the makers of this device… They gave me a microsoft fixit program called MicrosoftFixit I have the same dvd burner that you described above. Any guidance on how to correct this problem is much welcome alternatively, tips of a good replacement drive are also welcome. Which is probably why these don't work.
